The Game Boy's colour rival, resurrected
Sega handheld console launched in 1990, featuring a backlit colour screen — a first on the handheld market. A direct competitor to Nintendo's Game Boy, it offered a superior visual experience at the cost of catastrophic battery life (3–5 hours on 6 AA batteries). Model No. 2110-50, made in Taiwan. Fully refurbished in 2026: complete recap of the mainboard and sound board, screen replaced with a new-generation 'Magic Screen' LCD (Retrokai) with a glass lens.
