The expansion that wobbled — but doubled everything
16K memory expansion for the ZX81 and the Timex Sinclair 1000, made in Portugal by Timex Computer Corporation (Model M331-PSP). It plugs into the rear expansion port and brings RAM from 1 KB to 16 KB, making the machine genuinely usable. Famous for the 'RAM pack wobble': the slightest vibration of the connector caused an immediate reset, forcing users to glue, screw or tape the expansion to their computer. Two known variants: green connector (like this one) and black connector — with no functional difference.
