The #1 ZX81 game of 1983 — fly before Microsoft Flight Simulator existed
Developed by Psion Ltd and published by Sinclair Research, Flight Simulation is quite simply the best-selling program in ZX81 history, reaching number one in the charts in February 1983 with around 250,000 copies sold. A first-person cockpit-view flight simulator, it offers 13 distinct controls — stick, rudder, throttle, flaps, landing gear, navigation beacons and map — flying a light aircraft between two airports. Popular Computing Weekly said of it: there is no better program, until the day Psion makes one for the Spectrum. Psion would later become famous for its organisers and PDAs of the 1990s.
